The majority of their vineyard holdings are located in Rioja Alta, a relatively high altitude location which is heavily influenced by it's proximity to the Atlantic. This brings a freshness and vitality to the resultant wines. Established in the 1930's Muga are one of the great success stories of Spanish wine. Their output is formidable with zero compromise on quality. A real Rioja gem - this is a single estate and 100% family owned.

Tasting Note:
Super example of the best from Rioja. Generous weight of fruit with lovely sweet vanilla wafer flavours from the American oak ageing. Mellow and harmonious style. Drinking very well now.
