Description:
On the loess soils of the Lamm and the Kammern section of the Heiligenstein, GrÌ_ner Veltliner develops its typical spicyness and supple abundance. Spicy with creamy fruit, profound and concentrated. Great ageing potential. The Heiligenstein (Hell Rock) profits fully from the distinct climatic conditions of the area. During the day the sun heats up the hillsides while at night the vineyards are cooled down both by the river and by the fresh breeze from the Waldviertel (‰ÛÏForest Quarter‰) to the north. White grape varieties especially, develop a spicy aroma, a fine acidity and the region‰۪s, crystal-clear mineral character
Ageing Potential:3-5 Years
Tasting Note:
Aromatic, white flowers and grassy, mineral tones. A full bodied dry wine, opulent and rich on the palate, with chalk and mineral characters, and a hint of citrus fruits. Excellent structure and weighty mouthfeel with a long fruity finish.
Food Matches:Mediterranean / Lamb / Shellfish / Mussels
