Whisky Tour of the World: The Luxury Whiskey Advent Calendar

For the whiskey lover who has tried everything, the Whisky Tour of the World is about as special as a whiskey advent calendar gets. Twenty four ultra premium 50ml expressions arrive in a handmade, engraved wooden cabinet styled as a bookcase of linen bound, gold foiled volumes, alongside two nosing glasses and an illustrated book on each distillery, its whisky and the tasting notes. The journey takes in some of the world's most awarded distilleries, from Scotland, Ireland and Japan to Taiwan, India, Australia, Peru and Mexico, with an average strength of between 46% and 54% ABV, and 1.2 litres of whisky in total. Made in small quantities, it is €260 and the cabinet is a keepsake long after the last door is opened.

24 Days of Rum: Three Editions for Christmas 2026

Rum is having a real moment, and 24 Days of Rum is the original rum advent calendar that started it all. Every edition has 26 doors: the first hides two Spey Dram tasting glasses, and doors 1 to 24 each hold a 2cl miniature from a different producer, labelled with its name, country and ABV. You also get tasting note folders to keep track of your favourites, and because there are no dates on the rums themselves, many people use it as a tasting box well into the new year.

The 24 Days of Rum S.B.S Edition is new for Christmas 2026 and exclusive to Ireland. It brings together 24 Days of Rum and Single Barrel Selection, with 24 handpicked rums from 24 countries chosen to show off the range of styles, origins and production methods out there. At €160, it is the one for the rum fan who wants something nobody else will have.

The 24 Days of Rum Mocha Edition at €100 is a brilliant introduction to the category, with rums ranging from 38% to 54% ABV from producers in Fiji, El Salvador, Uganda, Martinique and beyond. It is also a lovely way for a whiskey drinker to discover a spirit with plenty in common with their usual dram.

The 24 Days of Rum Green Edition, also €100 and new to us for 2026, follows the same 24 country format with a different line up of rums, so it pairs nicely with the Mocha Edition if two rum lovers in the house fancy comparing notes.
