Somewhere in most Irish offices right now, someone has just been handed the Christmas gifting. There's a list of clients to thank, a team who deserve something better than another voucher, a budget that has to stretch, and a December that is going to arrive faster than anyone expects. If that someone is you, this guide is here to make the job a lot simpler.
We've been looking after corporate gifts for over 27 years, from a single bottle for a long-standing client to more than 350 bottles of Champagne sent to different addresses. Here's what we've learned about choosing well, making a gift feel personal, and getting it to every door on time.
Why wine still makes the best corporate gift
A good bottle of wine works for almost everyone. It feels generous without being showy, it gets opened and shared over Christmas rather than pushed to the back of a drawer, and a recipient who doesn't drink much can still bring it to a dinner or pass it on. Pair it with Irish artisan food, a fine Port or a proper gift box and it becomes something people remember receiving.
It also scales beautifully. The same thinking works whether you're thanking five key clients or two hundred staff, and with the right packaging every gift looks like it was chosen for that person.
Corporate gift ideas by budget
The best place to start is with a figure per head. Once you know it, the choice narrows quickly, and our Wine Advisors can build a shortlist around it in a single phone call.
Under €50. A single bottle or a twin in a wooden box is the classic client gift, and it travels well. The Classic French Wooden Twin at €42.50 and the Ruffino Chianti Riserva Wooden Gift at €45 both look the part on a desk, and The Organic Twin comes in card at €30 or wood at €42.
€50 to €100. This is where food comes into the picture. The Taylor's Fine Tawny Port & Cheese Gift Box at €65 is made for a winter's evening, and The Mini Christmas Hamper at €75 brings wine and festive treats together. For a pure wine gift, the Best of Bordeaux Twin in Wood at €55 is hard to beat.
€100 to €200. For senior clients or a team you want to really spoil, the Christmas Day Luxury Wine Box gives them six bottles chosen for every course of Christmas Day, from €140 in card or €170 in wood. The French Hamper at €150 pairs French wines with an Irish cheeseboard, and The Classic Christmas Hamper at €180 covers the whole festive table.
€200 and above. For the gifts that need to say something, The Supreme Christmas Hamper at €235 arrives in a wicker basket with leather straps, the Moët & Chandon Brut six-bottle wooden case is €425, and The Ultimate Christmas Hamper at €495 is our most generous gift of the year.
None of these quite right? We can build a bespoke gift from any wine, spirit or artisan treat on our site, to your budget and your recipients.
Make it unmistakably yours
The finishing touch is what turns a nice gift into one that carries your name. Our wooden gift boxes come in single, two, three and six bottle sizes, and we can laser-engrave your company logo or a short message right into the lid, so the box keeps your name on a shelf long after the wine is gone.
For something a little more festive, we can also add a branded wooden Christmas decoration to each gift, carrying your logo and a message of your choosing. It's a small detail, but it's the one that ends up on the tree every year.
Getting gifts to every address
The logistics are usually the part people dread, so we've made them as easy as we can. There are two ways to do it.
If you're sending a handful of gifts, simply choose Ship to Multiple Addresses at checkout and add a delivery address for each one. Our step-by-step guide shows you how.
For bigger orders, you can complete our bulk excel template with your recipients and their addresses, and our team will take care of every delivery for you, for a 5% admin fee. Either way, delivery is €9.50 per delivery address, free on anything over €175 to each address in Ireland, and we can ship throughout Europe too.
When to order
Our guaranteed Christmas delivery cut-off is Monday 14th December, but the honest advice is to order well before it. Branded boxes need their lead time, popular hampers sell through, and the businesses that order in October and November get the widest choice and a much calmer December.
If your finance team needs it, our Christmas brochure lists every price ex VAT as well as inc VAT.
How to get started
The easiest way is to talk to us. Tell us your budget, how many gifts you need and who they're for, and one of our Wine Advisors will come back with a shortlist. Call us on 01 5820840, email sales@wineonline.ie, download our Christmas brochure, or browse the full Christmas Collection and our corporate gifting page.
We'll take care of the rest, so you can enjoy Christmas too.
