Many Veronese locals will tell you that Valpolicella Classico is the wine that tells the history of the region in its most unadorned form. We agree. Valpolicella wines require the skills of the winemaker to find a signature, balanced blend of local grapes. Our fathers decided early on that the Rafaèl vineyard on Monte Masua produced the best grapes for our Valpolicella Superiore. The family blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara has always stayed the same but in varying amounts according to vintage. Fifteen months of wood-aging complete a savory wine with a rich bouquet, that is at once fresh and intense. We won’t add any descriptors that would detract from your moment of discovery. Whether you open Rafaèl tonight or leave it in the cellar for a few years, make sure you take time to enjoy this single vineyard wine that is a source of pride for our family.
