1 x Lindemans Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand
Sauvignon Blanc Winemaker's Discovery explores the distinctive character and ripe varietal flavours of Marlborough in New Zealand. True to founder Henry Lindeman's reputation for award-winning quality, our wines are from premium vineyards of the New World. Each wine from the Winemakers Discovery range features a different wine region from around the world. The variation in climate and sunshine of each region imparts particular characters in the wine and gives them a sense of place.
Tropical and citrus fruit flavours dance on the palate with generous Marlborough acidity giving structure and length. A fresh, fruit-driven Sauvignon Blanc.
1 x Las Moras Reserve Malbec
Malbec Las Moras Reserve Malbec is a big-red wine with purple shades. In the nose, the aroma of plums prevails, but we can also detect other ripe red fruits, chocolate and vanilla, which give this wine an excellent aromatic complexity. In the mouth, it is fresh and elegant. What I love so much about it is the balanced Oak - which delivers quality way beyond its pricepoint. One of the best Reserve Malbecs in Ireland right now. A must try for Malbec fans.
1 x Nederburg 56 Hundred Cabernet Sauvignon
Paarl, South Africa
Cabernet Sauvignon 56 Hundred is in reference to the price paid for Nederburg farm in 1791; since then the winery has built a reputation for quality wine. This offering is a full-flavoured experience with notes of black currant, plum, and charred oak on a medium weight palate that finishes with a ripe raspberry note.
1 x Chateau Roc de Levraut Bordeaux Superieur
Cabernet Sauvignon/ Merlot The Chateau Roc de Levraut receives its name from the enormous boulders that are scattered through the area of rolling hills composed of clay and limestone soils, a characteristic that was no doubt cursed by the original Ballarins who had to clear the soil with oxen, but now cherished because the terroir leads to a distinct sense of minerality in the tightly knit wines.
The 2014 is in the classic structured style that shows red and black fruit, a touch of cassis, that mixture of dark berry and sage-like herbal musk so prevalent in Bordeaux reds, and a lovely plump blueberry from the Cabernet Franc. The tannins are noticeable, but don't dominate the wine, suggesting instead that there will likely be a few years of aging capacity here.
1 x Cono Sur Reserve Especial Single Estate Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir Founded in 1993, with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines. The Single Vineyard range of wines was born from the idea of embodying the ideal Block for each grape variety by optimizing the altitude, soil and climate conditions of the vineyard where it is grown, making each wine completely unique. A clean bright and intense ruby red colour. Expressing notes of raspberry, sour cherry, plum forest berries and tobacco on the nose. Juicy and full palate with tannins and great acidity.
1 x Santa Cruz Verdejo If you like Albarino or Chablis, you're sure to love this. Alpara is 100kms inland from Valencia on the East coast of Spain and we have only been working with Bodegas Santa Cruz since 2015. This wine is so joyous. It works deliciously with seafood and salads and has the minerality of a great Chablis. Enjoy it with or without food, either way, you will enjoy it! It has won many awards, including a Silver Medal at the Brussels wine show.
