A fabulous showcase for two spectacular Australian red wines. A Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley, and a Grenache from the McLaren Vale. These are wines for an unforgettable occasion!
Giant Steps, Yarra Valley Pinot Noir
Giant Steps is a privately owned Yarra Valley producer that has forged a reputation for making some of the Yarra Valley's most consistently exciting wines from estate-owned vineyards. The Giant Steps Single Vineyard wines are produced from their best vineyards in great years. This beautiful Pinot Noir has vibrant red and blue fruits but a lovely underlying earthiness, with white mushrooms, truffles, savoury spice and forest floor characters. An elegant wine with breadth, structure and viscosity on the palate.
The Vagabond Grenache, Thistledown
An absolute favourite of our staff, and anyone else who tries it, this wine possesses a beautifully complex, aromatic nose of violets, wild cherry, rosemary and warming spice. The palate is energetic yet polished and smooth with vibrant cherry, spice, wild strawberry and liquorice on the palate. Medium bodied but multi-layered and textural with a very long, fruity finish. Give it time to open up and enjoy!
