Di Camillo Thair Spumante Prosecco
Veneto, Italy
2 x 75cl Bottles
Sparkling Millesimato Brut, is distinguished by its unusual shell. The golden colour is inviting and the effervescent bubbles and creamy mousse dazzle. On the palate it is a sparkling wine with texture, flavours of pear and brioche with apple cinnamon and honeyed apricot too.  A design that catches the eye, inviting visual and tactile interaction. It is a delicious wine perfect to get Christmas started!

Domaine de Vedilhan 'Serica' Viognier
Valleé de l’Aude, France
2 x 75cl Bottles
Elaborately textured, full-flavoured Viognier. The wine is aptly named after the Latin name for silk, 'Serica'. Burgundy in Northern France is the home of Chardonnay,  but alas, it is expensive. Producers are heading South and this is one such wine that is worthy of it’s place at the Christmas table. It is crisp, refreshing and clean, with great acidity. With flavours of peach, melon and lime zest, it is the perfect accompaniment to Christmas Dinner. We sourced it in July of 2024 where we knew it would be perfect for Christmas.

Santa Macarena Pinot Noir
Leyda valley
2 x 75cl Bottles
Really great Pinot Noir is hard to get, really hard to get. It is a thin skinned grape variety, so it is susceptible to mould and mildew in the vineyard and must be picked at precisely the right time. This one is a favourite of ours and is a single vineyard Pinot Noir from one of the most coastal vineyards in Chile. Situated in San Antonio just 5 km from the ocean, 55 miles west of central Santiago and just south of Casablanca Valley. Morning mists and spring frosts, often associated with the Napa Valley and Bordeaux are brought from the west coast by the Humboldt current.

Mand Uris Di Camillo Primitivo di Manduria
Manduria, Italy
2 x 75cl Bottles
This is an outstanding example of the quality and potential of the Primitivo Grape. Native to the South of Italy Lirica Primitivo achieves the rare balance of intensely ripe rich dark fruits, cinnamon, aniseed with a lifted acidity and lick of fine tannined oak. Its a wine that has won a huge number of plaudits in the Italian and international wine press, for its straight-up no nonsense power, coupled with very good structure.

Its a ripe, full wine rich in fruit and of notable length, but also sapid and gutsy, says the winemaker Paolo Di Camillo who travels to Puglia each September to make this wine from his home in Abruzzo.

Chateau La Couteleyre
Graves, France
2 x 75cl Bottles
This is arguably the star of the case. Graves wines are notorious in Bordeaux for having structure, depth, lead pencil detail and great structure.  The winemaker of this wine is Emer Kirwan Buckley and her husband Fabrice. Emer is from Monkstown in Co Dublin and 9 years ago in 2015 she and Fabrice bought a vineyard in Bordeaux. They are thriving and their wines are delicious. This is a deep red wine, with lots of colour, rich flavours of blackberry and spice with a structured but softened finish. Delicious and perfect for Christmas dinner.

Le Castelline Pecorino
Abruzzo, Italy
2 x 75cl Bottles
An incredibly complex wine with texture, minerality, lively acidity and freshness. It is vibrant and just perfect for Christmas dinner. It is a wine to get everybody talking because it goes on and on and has a depth and backbone to carry it amongst the rich flavours of he table on Christmas day. Named after the cheese, Pecorino is also a grape variety in Italy and it produces some of the best white wines in Italy.
There are fresh limes on the palate, with lively acidity and freshness and this would be wonderful with smoked salmon or creamed dishes, like rich sauces or seafood chowders.
