"Palliser Estate Chardonnay is a celebration of strong, citrusy fruit flavours, it is gently seasoned with oak, producing a delicious wine with subtle winemaking input and concentrated varietal flavours". Gracefulness, delicacy, finesse - these are its key attributes. Michael Cooper - Classic Wines of New Zealand
Contessa Camilla Chardonnay
Abruzzo, Italy
1 x 75cl Bottles
This vintage was commended at Decanter Magazines World Wine Awards. A clean fresh and mineral driven chardonnay from Abruzzo. Grapes here are picked earlier than the red grapes for ripeness, and freshness, without overripening sugar levels and higher alcohol. The result is a wine in great harmony and balance.
Monsable Chardonnay
Languedoc, France
1 x 75cl Bottles
This classic Burgundian variety has been produced in the sunny climate of Languedoc in the south of France. Although much warmer than the cool climate of the Côte d'Or great care has been taken to ensure that it is every bit as elegant. A bright yellow gold hue and seductive scents of blossom and cinnamon spice. A remarkable melange of pears, peach, honey toffee, cream and vanilla (from a short spell of oak ageing) on the palate. Beautifully balanced with ripeness, acidity, length and real structure. A very classy Chardonnay
Morillion Blanc Chardonnay
Jeff Carrell, Languedoc, France
1 x 75cl Bottles
From the South of France and produced by Jeff Carrell who many wine critics say, is the next ‘Steve Jobs of wine’ because he is doing things very differently – The 2017 vintage has won a heap of Gold medals since its release. It is a lightly oaked Chardonnay, and it is an absolutely phenomenal wine - as good in our opinion as a Chablis 1er Cru. But thats just us, you really do need to try this one.
Babington Brook Chardonnay
South East Australia
1 x 75cl Bottles
This wine was commended at the International wine challenge which recognised the quality and representation it is for Chardonnay from Australia. It is classically unoaked. It is very ripe with notes of peara and apple flavours combined with crisp acidy and excellent length on the finish.
The Accomplice Chardonnay
South Australia
1 x 75cl Bottles
De Bortoli Estate have become masters in Australia, credited with pioneering the change from oaked and buttery chardonnay styles to a leaner more subtle approach and the Accomplice is a lean style, again allowing the grape variety to speak for itself without too much oak interaction. This is a crisp dry fresh fruity unoaked chardonnay laden with ripe peach and stone fruits. The palate is soft with a creamy texture and is balanced by fine acidity to give a clean and very long finish.
