Lusca Cabernet Merlot

A very unique wine - estate grown in Ireland! A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a smattering of Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, and Dunkelfelder. 

Deep ruby red in colour. On the nose there are harmonious aromas of blackcurrants, green herbs, green peppers, mint, black pepper and vanilla. The palate is dry with medium acidity and firm yet well-balanced tannins. Ripe, dark fruit flavours of blackcurrants, plums, damsons and redcurrants. Towards the finish there are more spicy elements such as vanilla and black pepper. A very interesting and enjoyable bottle. 

This wine was aged 24 months in French Oak barriques, and bottled without fining or filtration. Good aging potential til at least 2029
