Each wine is a reflection of the people behind them, a story encounters, cultural traditions, varieties, and the land. Jeff Carrel works with organic growers and his labels include a wide range of wines, domaine wines, and also the By Jeff Carrel brands.
Grenache and Carignan have long been cultivated in Southern France and represent the “forefathers” of the Languedoc Appellation’s red wines. Les Darons is an homage showcasing these classic varietals. Named after the forefather grapes, “Les Darons” is the affectionate term for “The Fathers” in the Parisian suburbs where winemaker, Jeff Carrel was born.
Tasting Notes:
Les Darons is an accessible wine with loads of character. Packed with ripe, red and dark fruit aromas, this Languedoc red has plenty of spice and a streak of underlying minerality.
