Description:
A Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, Château La Tour Figeac was founded in 1879, at which time it was separated from Château Figeac to which it was historically linked. The Château La Tour Figeac vineyard enjoys an exceptional location, on the edge of the Pomerol appellation. The 14.6-hectare vineyard is located between Château Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac. The 2019 vintage marked the second year in the estate’s conversion to organic farming. At the cellar, 2019 was a decisive year since the barrel cellar was completely renovated. La Tour Figeac has also chosen to invest in 400 litre barrels and amphorae. These measures aim to enhance the finesse of the tannins in the estate's wines, while also retaining great purity in the expression of the fruit.

Tasting Note:
The Château La Tour Figeac 2019 offers a beautiful expression of the great terroir of the "Graves de Saint-Émilion". "Freshness, elegance, brightness, intensity", these are the 4 terms used by the property to define this great 2019 vintage of Château La Tour Figeac.

Critical Acclaim:

Jeb Dunnuck 94 Pts

Lots of ripe black cherries, mulberries, Christmas spice, incense, and dried flower notes emerge from the 2019 Château La Tour Figeac, a classy, medium to full-bodied Saint-Emilion with supple, finely polished tannins, terrific overall balance, and a great finish. This wonderful 2019 already offers loads of pleasure and will keep for 15-20 years, easily.
James Suckling 93 Pts
Aromas of currants, blackberries, bark, toasted oak, walnut husk and chocolate orange. Medium-to full-bodied with a rich, flavourful and layered palate. Ripe, well-integrated tannins. Delicious finish. Merlot and cabernet franc. Drink from 2024.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 92 Pts
The 2019 La Tour Figeac is generous and charming, bursting with aromas of blueberry preserve, sweet spices, dark chocolate and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with powdery tannins, succulent acids and a sweet core of fruit, it will offer a broad drinking window. It's produced from gravely soils and contains an appreciable percentage of very old vine Cabernet Franc.
