Château La Croix St. Georges is located on a south-facing slope in the area of Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion, just separated by the stream, La Barbanne, on the border of Montagne Saint-Emilion 9 km east of the old trading town of Libourne.
The fields cover an area of 6.5 ha, where the soil is composed of clay and lime. The lands are planted with the district's classic grape varieties: 51% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc and 21% Cabernet Sauvignon. This gives wines with classic Saint-Emilion character; soft and good to drink at a young age
Tasting Note:
Château la Croix de Saint-Georges, appears in a beautiful, ruby red color. The aroma is dominated by the sweetness of the Merlot grape and a slight barrel aging. The taste is soft with hints of cherries and black currants. The aftertaste is persistent and velvety soft.
