Tasting Notes:
To preserve quality in the Grand Vin, in 2023 the blend has the highest percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon to date for the estate and it represents only 50% of production (versus a normal 65%). On the palate, there is a real contrast with crunchy red berries. It’s a leaner style, with drying tannins that frame the tart fruit.
The word classy comes through quite a bit, and the wine was very well scored across the board. This will turn out to be very fine and especially clever looking on a table ten years from now.
"It is especially classy in this edition."
94-96 points – Antonio Galloni, Vinous
" Pure fruit to this, with blueberries, hazelnuts, walnut and blackcurrants. Just like eating grapes at this stage. It has a full body, juicy tannins and a savory finish. Remains vivid and energetic".

James Suckling
"Plummy red fruits, fresh acidities, sculpted tannic architure, this has balance and finesse, white pepper, capsicum spice, black tea, cigar box, liqourice root, rose petals, fine tannins, St Julien balance with a kick of smoked oak on the finish."
