Primitivo di Puglia, Rocca Antica
Puglia, Italy

Deep ruby red wine with pronounced aromas of stewed prunes and cherries. Dry with smooth tannin structure and big weight of ripe plummy fruit - black cherries and 'Christmas cake' flavours. Lovely length and balance with a flavour that lingers long on the palate.


'La Pinada' Bobal, Agricola La Portera
Utiel-Requena, Spain

The grapes for this juicy and enticing Spanish Red come exclusively from 3 ha of a single parcel called “La Pinada”, growing on alluvial and clay soils. These bush-vines are really old now, planted in 1958, and are one of the key factors that make this so good to drink. There is a lovely intensity to the fruit - with no hard edges, no excess weight. Just an easy flow and dangerous drinkability! Fine Floral aroma. Cherry fruit boldly expressed on the palate and crunchy crisp acidity. Light notes of aniseed, liquorice and some finely chewy tannins. Youthful refreshing style. 


Domaine de Vedilhan Syrah
Languedoc, France

A limited release Syrah, produced only in exceptional vintages.
The grapes for this cuvée were harvested from 40 year old vines. The Syrah grapes were de-stemmed and macerated in tank. Ageing takes place predominantly in stainless steel with a fifth aged in oak.
Chateau Roc De Levraut Bordeaux Superieur

Intense ruby red wine with layers of dark autumn fruits - damsons and blackcurrants with an underlay of sweet spice. The 2019 is in the classic structured style that shows red and black fruit, a touch of cassis, that mixture of dark berry and sage-like herbal musk so prevalent in Bordeaux reds, and a lovely plump blueberry from the Cabernet Franc. The tannins are noticeable, but don't dominate the wine, suggesting instead that there will likely be a few years of ageing capacity here.
 
Clos de Torribas Crianza 
Penedes, Spain

Fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks – skin soak of around 15 days. The wine was then aged in oak for around 12 months. Bottle aged for more than one year to achieve more rounded tannins. The oak stands out coupled with intense spice. If we swirl the wine in the glass, we get aromas which are typical of the Tempranillo grape variety as well as fruits of the forest.

Villa Sveva Nero d'Avola
Terre di Chieti, Italy

Only the finest Nero d'Avola grapes are picked for this production. This is an intense full-bodied wine with lots of dark fruit flavours coming through. Exceptional after being opened for approx. 5 hours.
