San Rafael had a challenging growing season, with frosts and strong winds in spring reducing some yields. December through to February were hot, but then the weather cooled in March, and delayed harvest, but allowed the grapes to mature more slowly in the last weeks before they were picked.
Ageing Potential: 2-4 Years
The luscious, intense fruit aromas have hints of ripe plums, cherries and blackberries. These aromas continue on the palate with a generous mouthfeel and great weight, while remaining soft and silky.
