Amaethon Single Malt (Single Cask) Whisky

Amaethon Single Cask collection is the fruit of our exploration around the Amaethon tasting. This unique batch has been matured a whole extra year in French oak casks which previously contained and brought to maturity the famous Pineau des Charentes.

And it’s the fragrant scent of cereals that greets the nostrils, in a fresh and herbaceous olfactory complex accompanied by orange peel, vanilla, honey, liquorice, lemon peel. Waxy notes that embrace the aromas, making the nose round and full while maintaining its freshness.
Soft and velvety on the palate, with walnuts, pears, citrus fruits, vanilla, honey, a touch of rhubarb and, of course, cereals in bread. The freshness of the nose has been lost a little, but on the other hand it gains in warmth and envelopment, with a slight peppery note that teases the aromas and keeps the attention high. Medium-long finish of walnuts, citrus, pears, pepper and wood astringency.
