This Barolo is made from grapes grown in Piedmont by farmers who traditionally supply their production to Fontanafredda. 80 % of the wine is aged in barriques (20% of American oak - 80% in French oak (Allier)), in which the malolactic fermentation takes place before the end of the winter. The wine stays in wood for around eight months then bottled in January for further refining in the cellars for approximately three months.
Ageing Potential:3-5 Years
