“En Bas de Vauvray” is one of the few plots located in the heart of the Premier Cru hillside, which ensures the quality of this wine. Jean Baptiste Ponsot took over the family winery in 2000 at the age of 20. He is committed to the production of high quality grapes without the use of any herbicides.

 The mineral rich limestone soil accentuates the grapes natural acidity, making the wine fresh in youth and rich with age. The wine is crisp and flinty with engaging citrus fruit flavours, vibrant pears, in some sympathetic oak. It is drinking well now, but will develop further over the next five years.

Food Suggestion: An exemplary match for seafood and white meats. Pair with  fish, shellfish or poultry in a creamy sauce.
