Aldo Vaira describes his Barbera d’Alba as ‘A Barbera that behaves like a Barolo’. It comes predominantly from the oldest Barbera vines planted in 1949 by his great-grandfather, Carlo Vaira. The deeply rooted vines produce a wine brimming with energy, that is intense yet very elegant.
Vajra's Barbera d’Alba comes from grapes grown on ancient soils, traced to three different geological ages: Tortonian, Serravallian and Messinian. The resulting wine is refined and savoury, charming and complex
