Description:
Bodegas Ramón Bilbao is situated in a privileged location: Haro, in Rioja Alta, a paradise where Rioja’s emblematic grape variety, Tempranillo, grows best.
Ruby red in colour, highly intense, clear and bright. Presence of tears. Clean and frank in the nose. Aromas of herbs, red fruit and balsamic notes combined with spices and white pepper from the oak. Fresh and pleasant in the mouth. The good acidity reflects the altitude of the vineyards. Firm yet polished tannins and an aftertaste of fresh fruit with balsamic nuances. A harmonious elegant wine. A wine which is still evolving, ready to drink but with good potential for a long life.
Food Pairing: This very versatile wine may be paired with different dishes. However, it pairs best with spicy well-seasoned oriental (Thai) meat dishes. Also pairs well with more classic dishes such as beef steak and strong cured pork (cecina). Recommended with strong creamy cheeses (Stilton).
