Description:
Of Italian origin, the Queirolo family sailed for Peru in the late 1800s and have been producing local wine and Pisco in Lima since 1880. In 2000, the 3rd generation of the family, Jorge Queirolo, decided to invest more heavily in their wine business, employing French consultants Jacques Blouin and Edmundo Bordeu to create wines of international quality. The result is a broad range of universally recognised varietal wines under their Intipalka label.
Along with his oenology team, head winemaker Luis Gomez aims to produce wines that express great depth and concentration, revealing the personality of a challenging yet rewarding Peruvian terroir.
The Intipalka Gran Reserva No.1 Viñas Queirolo has been crafted under the expert guidance of Alejandro Sejanovich – the acclaimed viticulturist and winemaker who specialises in mapping South American vineyard terroir. Since the wine’s launch, it has regularly received high praise from some of the most renowned wine critics and publications, becoming Viñas Queirolo’s most iconic wine.

Tasting Note:
Deep garnet red in colour. Aromas of black fruits and spices in harmony with subtle notes of chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, it is elegant, complex, and balanced, with light touches of acidity, soft tannins, and a long, delicate finish.
Food Pairing:
Pairs really well with bold meats like beef and venison, especially those that are grilled or have rich, savoury flavours. The wine's flavour profile also complements dishes such as beef teriyaki, steak fajitas, and ribs.
