Today, Philippe Person is the manager, accompanied by his son Pierre who will represent the 6th generation. It is a family domain which is transmitted by sharing its know-how and its values. The Jalousie Beaulieu vineyards adventure began with 20 ha of vines and now represents nearly 200 ha. The soils are of the clay-limestone type on an area of 171 ha of vines and a grape variety of 80% Merlot , 12% Cabernet Franc , 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec .
Tasting Note:
The powerful, rich and refined nose is distinguished by notes of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant) and woody notes.
The fruity and intense palate reveals notes of blackcurrant and Morello cherry. Woody touches enhance the ripe fruit and give this wine a beautiful length.
