Historic cuvée produced since the 17th century, it is a blend of our different terroirs ranging from Safres to Rolled Pebbles. The terroirs of Safres give it finesse and elegance, while the Rolled Pebbles bring power and structure. It is a blend of 3 major grape varieties: Grenache noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, but also in more modest proportions of all 13 grape varieties authorized by the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Domaine de la Solitude Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a rich and opulent wine with ripe blackcurrant aromas layered with notes of the garrigue and cistus flowers. Full bodied but with a soft texture on the palate; this wine retains the estate’s characteristic elegance whilst embracing a modern style of winemaking. Ripe fruits combine with notes of cocoa and cherry and a hint of liquorice on the finish.
