La Val Condado Do Tea Albarino
Country: Spain Region: Rias Baixas
Varietal: Albarino
Colour: White
Producer: Bodegas La Val
Description La Val is a historical founder of the Rías Baixas appellation. It is also one of the largest vineyard owners in this region with 94 hectares of fundamentally Albariño vineyards across four large estates: Vilachán in the Rosal, and Taboexa, Arantei and Porto in the Condado de Tea.
The grapes come from the estate called Porto (4Ha and 13 years old), with soil where the Miño river used to flow, alluvial and pebble. The vine training system is the traditional Galician vine. Spontaneous fermentation takes place with the yeasts provided by the vineyard. Coupage according to the characteristics of each variety depending on the vintage.
Tasting Note:
This wine is fresh and elegant with a lively interplay of fruit and "Atlantic herbs". It is known for its mineral freshness and a long saline finish.
Food Matches: Dublin Bay prawns with homemade mayonnaise.”
