We have hand selected the wines in the case so that there will be wines to enjoy across all of the days of the festive season. Whether it's bubbles for Christmas day or a red for New Years Eve, this case has it all. A family run Vineyard and winery in the heart of the Sancerre Appellation, near the tiny village of Sury en Vaux.
Founded in 1946, there are 17 ha of vineyards, with more coming into production in 2022/23.
One of the foremost producers of Sancerre, producing white, red and rosé, together with two prestige whites = Silex and Terre Blanche from particular vineyard plots.

This comes from 20-40 year old vines grown on Kimmeridgian limestone. It is very powerful with a pronounced minerally character that enhances the fruit and fine vegetal flavours.
A clear golden yellow colour. Light, fresh and fruity with mineral aromas (gun-flint), white flowers and fresh fruits (peaches), dried fruits and hazelnuts. Light, fresh and fruity on the palate with vanilla and floral notes

Chateau La Gravieres Graves

A French Grand Vin from Graves, Bordeaux, this red wine from Chateau des Gravieres uses hand picked grapes from 30 year old vines cultivated on a 3 hectare gravel soil vineyard.
Composed on average of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, the red wines of Pessac-Léognan make a good compromise between marked tannins and the greediness of the fruit. We thus find red and ripe fruits, and complex notes.
Le Castelline Pecorino

An incredibly complex wine with texture, minerality, lively acidity and freshness. It is vibrant and just perfect for Christmas dinner. It is a wine to get everybody talking because it goes on and on and has a depth and backbone to carry it amongst the rich flavours of he table on Christmas day. Named after the cheese, Pecorino is also a grape variety in Italy and it produces some of the best white wines in Italy.
There are fresh limes on the palate, with lively acidity and freshness and this would be wonderful with smoked salmon or creamed dishes, like rich sauces or seafood chowders.
