Fercullen 10 Year Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey

From the acclaimed Master Distiller Noel Sweeney comes the Fercullen 10 Year Old Single Grain. As the name suggests, this is a single grain whiskey which has been matured exclusively in hand-selected ex-bourbon barrels.
The Powerscourt Distillery is set against a backdrop of the breathtakingly beautiful Wicklow hills and Great Sugarloaf Mountain. The Distillery is located in an 18th century Mill House on the Powerscourt Estate.
The distillery's history dates back as far as the 9th century when the estate formed part of the strategically important and ancient lands once known as Fercullen, where their award-winning whiskey draws its name. The water the distillery uses is drawn from an underground lake of the purest Wicklow water.
Globally recognised, award-winning Master Distiller Noel Sweeney oversees all aspect of spirit production and Irish Whiskey released from Powerscourt Distillery. The visitor centre includes an AV room, six intimate tasting rooms, a gift shop and café/bar facilities.
Nose:
Toffee, baking spices, vanilla, dessert apples, pears, soft leather, cinnamon, nutmeg, baked buttered pastry crusts.
Taste:
Vanilla Custard, soft oak, salted caramel, digestives, tarte tatin.
Finish:
Warming oak spices, soft leather, honeyed almonds, stewed fruits.
