Description:
Rémy Pannier is the Loire Valley’s single largest wine producer, accounting for about 15% of all Loire Valley wine production, and with markets in over 40 countries worldwide. Since the early 1990s, it has been directly owned by an alliance of over 800 grape growers and vineyard owners, primarily located in Muscadet, Vouvray and Sancerre.
This wine is made out of a selection of parcels from within the district of Saint Romain sur Cher, and planted in limestone – a soil type fully highlighting Sauvignons' aromas.
Tasting Note: Pouring a bright straw this is aromatic with notes of citrus, green pea and mineral; the palate is light, extra-dry and flavourful with hints of white peach, lemon, and light florals followed by a subtle finish.
Food Pairing : Classically served with fish or salad, and would be lovely with fresh bread and cheese for an impromptu lunchtime picnic. Drink on its own well chilled or with simple snacks and delicate fish dishes like sole or plaice; or try with goats cheese.
