Description:

James Suckling recently named his Top 100 best value wines IN THE WORLD for 2023. These are beauties that can be had for €35 or under and offer a superlative drop for the price. Guess what came out on top?

That’s right, it was Pewsey Vale Riesling from Eden Valley. Best value wine in the world. It doesn’t get better than that.
In June 2024, it was given 95 Points and a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Just 3% of the 19,000 wines received this accolade andit is a reflection of the true quality of this wine.

Here’s Suckling’s tasting note:

“‘A very fresh, piercing nose of sliced lemon with plenty of sweet perfume, too. The palate is similarly intense and vibrant with white stone-fruit and lemon flavors, delivered in an impressively intense and balanced mode.”
96 points, James Suckling

But in case you’re one of those that likes a second opinion on things, here’s our another critic Jeremy Oliver to reassure you that this is, without a doubt, a stunning piece of work:

“‘A heady perfume of iris and rose petals, lemon and lime, pear and fresh apple skin overlies a whiff of slate. Long and focused, with a vibrant core of fruit that extends long and effortless down a crunchy, chalky spine, it culminates with a refreshing acidity and a lingering slatey note. Superbly textural and streamlined.”
