Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste took its present form in 1855, although it was built as early as the 16th century. The wine estate was marked by the passage of Raymond Dupin from 1930 to 1978. He then sold the property to the Borie family in 1978, who have since carried out numerous renovations. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is today one of the most representative wines of the Pauillac appellation.

Medium- to full-bodied, enveloping and seamless, it is shaped by powdery, velvety tannins and a layered mid-palate that opens onto a long, vibrant and saline finish. A classic at this address, it nonetheless stands out as a particularly fine effort and an excellent value. Drink 2028-2048."

"A brilliant effort, the 2023 Grand Puy Lacoste has such a sense of place and style. Understated but harmonious, it will greatly please those who follow these wines. The nose is airy and layered, showing dewy blackcurrant, forest fruit and higher toned cherry blossom. The palate is chiselled thanks to chalky, persistent tannins and an intense but compact core of black and red fruits. Hints of cigar leaf and a real salinity thanks to refreshing acidity make this a lipsmacking, moreish wine. There is a bite of amaro on the back end, only adding to the delicious layers in this wine. Effortlessly stylish."
