Raíces Ibéricas is dedicated to reviving native Spanish grape varieties that have been largely forgotten, showcasing their unique character and historical significance. In the Calatayud region, they focus on Garnacha, applying a terroir-driven approach inspired by Burgundy—mapping and vinifying distinct vineyard parcels to highlight the diversity of soils, altitudes, and microclimates.
Sébastien has been one of the pioneers aboard the RAÍCES IBÉRICAS adventure since March 2020. With a background in agronomy, he went on to embark on several international adventures, including Berry Brothers' in London and buyer for the German company Jacques' Wein-Depot in Düsseldorf.
Based in Spain for the past 18 years, he now coordinates international brand development, always with a keen eye on production. Sustainable development of production areas and regenerative agriculture are two important pillars on which to build.
Sebastien Will take us through the full range of Raices Ibericos wines and the production they have in Castilla Y Leon, Madrid, Manchuela, Arribes del Duero and Catalonia. It will be a voyage of discovery through the wider regions of Spain with a fascinating tasting of each of the wines during the masterclass.
