Champagne Wooden Gift Single Bottle
Country: France Region: Champagne
Varietal: 70% Meunier 20% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay
Established in 1976 by Jean-Pol Hautbois, a descendent of the winegrowing Guillemarrt family and his wife, Sylvie, whose lineage traces back through the Pommery and Bonnaire clans, this closely knit Champagne house is now in the hands of two of their three children, Sandrine and Fabien. Certified HVE sustainable, their classically styled Brut Tradition spends 3 years on its lees before disgorgement.
Pinot Meunier is the star of this wonderful Brut Tradition. It's frothy and golden
on the eye. The aromas of pears in syrup and stewed yellow fruit begin proceedings before vanilla floods in. The full-bodied and indulgent mouthfeel is heady with pastry and grapefruit
before finishing on an earthy and slightly spicy high.
Part of this cuvée is made in oak barrels which brings roasted, brioche and slightly woody notes. This wine has a generous ample mouth which reveals vinosity, corpulence, a powerful style balanced by freshness at the end of the mouth. A golden yellow colour, a rich, fine and elegant palate, with the opulence of Pinot Noir.
For any lover of fine Champagne, Hautbois Tradition Brut will amaze, and presented in our wooden case protected by wood wool it makes the perfect gift.
