Tasting Note:
Penfolds Grange was first made in 1951 by Max Schubert as an experiment using techniques he learned in Bordeaux It is made predominantly from the Shiraz grape and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is widely considered Australia's "first growth" and its most collectable wine. A whole cornucopia of blackberries, damsons, plums , coffee & pepper on the palate. Intense, complex wine with a firm structure and plenty of oomph.
