Description:
The history of Monte da Ravasqueira began to be written in 1943, with the acquisition of the property by the Mello family, but only years later, in 1998, the first vines were planted and the wine project started, which in 2003 launched its first wine on the market.
In 2012, after the entry of Pedro Pereira Gonçalves, the brand was renewed and gain a strong profile, with the primary objective of making Monte da Ravasqueira an unavoidable reference in the Alentejo. And in fact, today it is a mandatory name when it comes to Alentejo wines.
There are 45 hectares that extend over 8 different types of soil, in an unusual diversity. Here, the main grape varieties of the region are privileged: Alicante Bouschet, Aragonêz, Trincadeira, Roupeiro, Antão Vaz and Arinto.
From there, we already know wines that have become iconic such as Vinha das Romãs, or the differentiators monovarietal. Now, there are new products that promise to maintain the brand's identity and quality and leave us curious to try.

When tasted it is elegant, with persistent and elegant tannins. Long and harmonious finish. A red wine full of personality.
