A Classic Italian gift box of two bottles of Sangiovese, the quintessential grape of Chiantil, Brunello di Montalcino and found all across the land.
Also included is the lesser known Passerina. This is White Grape native to the Marche region of Italy and a year ago I had never heard of it. It is the wine you would be given in a local restaurant in Abruzzo and would think, we never get wines this good at home. It has a wonderful, elegant simplicity. It's clean, crisp and fresh. Enjoyment guaranteed with these wines!
Passerina is unkown by the masses but my goodness is this a wonderful local Italian Grape variety. It is a fresh wine, with simple clean, elegant fruit and a crisp minerality. Albarino, Chablis or Picpoul lovers will adore this wine. They'll also discover a new wine they love, and have a talking point for good friends about a great new find!
The quintessential Italian grape. Dio Camillo Montepulciano d'Abruzzois a really well made wine. Winemaker Paolo di Camillo has been a friend of ours for a long time and this is the wine that defines him. He says of it: 'Montepulciano to Italy is the shamrock to Ireland, so my Montepulciano has to be something my country is proud of!"
