In 2001, Santa Tresa was acquired by Stefano and Marina, who immediately started the project to overhaul the entire estate completely – an enormous task which was spurred on by Sicily’s warm and welcoming character. In a kind of “reverse migration” of coming from the North to the South, rather than the opposite way round, Stefano and Marina have fallen in love with Sicily.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCerasuolo di Vittoria is the wine which made us fall in love with this land.\u003cbr\u003eGenuinely a special wine, and Sicily’s only DOCG, Cerasuolo di Vittoria has been a shining light at Santa Tresa since 1950.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eTasting Note:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDeliciously spicy on the nose and palate, packed with ginger, nutmeg, black pepper and bay leaf. And it's a riot of fruit on the palate: dried cherries, balsamic-drenched blueberries, wild strawberries. Rose petals layer over kalamata olive notes, black pepper over red-bush tea and thyme. The tannins are subtle, like a velvet sash.
