Description:
Without Marqués de Riscal the Rioja would not be what it is today. In 1860 Don Camillo Hurtado de Amezega founded the Bodegas Marqués de Riscal in Elciego, 15 years after his apprenticeship of wine trade in Bordeaux. The uncompromising quality standards of the house have not changed over 150 years, and critics such as the British wine journalist Hugh Johnson call Marqués de Riscal bluntly "the best Bodega of Rioja Alavesa".
Tasting Note:

Marqués de Riscal 150 Aniversario 2010 is a wine with a very deep, dark cherry colour. It has a complex, toasted, balsamic aroma with spicy notes of black pepper and cinnamon. Unctuous mouth-feel, with good structure and great concentration of tannins, round, with a long, silky-smooth finish. A real once in a lifetime kinda wine

Food Matches: This wine pairs well with ham, mature cheese, red meat, all kinds of roasts and game casseroles.
