The appellation "La Liviniere" is considered the most typical and some of the best terroir in the overall appellation of Minervois. Syrah, Grenache and old vine Carignan make up the blend in this premium wine, Cuvee Les Trois Clochers. Using traditional production techniques, the Grenache and Syrah are kept in vat for over three weeks to insure maximal extraction and the old vine Carignan is vinified using carbonic maceration to add a fresh berry component to this cuvee.
A limited ageing in French oak barrels follows the vinification to add further savory, opulent notes to this full-bodied wine.
Ageing Potential: 3-5 Years
This wine has a rich deep violet and ruby color with an opacity that promises concentrated flavors. Deep spicy fruit aromas, with a touch of toastiness, fill the glass and follow through to fill the palate with rich fruit flavors that linger long. The well-structured tannins are ripe and soft and give the fruit something to hang on to.
