***DECANTER WORLD AWARDS SILVER MEDAL***
Country: Australia Region: Yarra Valley
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2020 Colour: Red Style: Dry
Producer: Innocent Bystander Estate
Description:
A very tasty pinot with luscious ripe strawberry and plummy fruits with a hint of spice - well rounded with bags of flavour. A strong vintage for Pinot Noir in the Yarra Valley, both upper and lower. The wines benefited from the longer hang time provided by a cool January and February, allowing flavours to fully develop.
*Silver Medal Winner, London Wine fair May 2013*
Tasting Note:
This Pinot Noir is vibrant and fruity and made from hand picked bunches of grapes. Excellent weight of ripe strawberry fruits with a hint of cedar. As winemaker Phil Sexton says, we like our Pinot long, lean and savoury with aromas you can wax lyrical about.
Food Matches: Risottos / Duck / Turkey / Lamb ABV: 13.5%
