This is a stunning 14th century property with 50 hectares of vineyard, owned by the d‰۪Harcourt family...
Originally, the estate belonged to the Sires de Beaujeu, noblemen who used it as a holiday residence, often inviting Anne, Princesse de Cl̬ves, to stay with them. From 2007, the wines from this property were upgraded to Beaujolais-Villages. Just as well, really, as the quality of the wine is better than many a Cru Beaujolais.
Ageing Potential:1-3 Years
Brilliant deep ruby incolour with violet tints. The nose is very fresh andfruity with distinct aromas of strawberries and redcurrants. The palate is full of fruit witha juicy attack. Powerful, the wine has greatstructure and a full, long finish.
