They are family owned and one of the oldest privately established vineyards, located on the hill slopes of the Southern Valleys of Marlborough, New Zealand. They produce four wines including a Sauvignon Blanc, and three barrel fermented wines using natural (wild) yeasts including a Sauvignon Blanc fermented in older French oak barrels (Section 94), a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir. All wines are vegan, vegetarian and gluten free reflecting the family's low interventionist ethos. Their primary focus is producing wines of uncompromising quality that will cellar well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDog Point’s 2020 Chardonnay is a superb example of the estate’s signature style: concentrated, struck-match complexity balanced by crystalline fruit purity. Sourced from mature, organically farmed vineyards in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys, it opens with aromas of white peach, lemon zest, hazelnut and flint. The cool 2020 vintage lends wonderful tension, allowing the wine’s natural richness to unfold with precision and focus.
