The vines are over 100 years old and were planted during World War I. \u003cbr\u003eTom bought the tiny plot from an old farmer, Ramón, who refused to sell the plot to anyone other than the ‘crazy Irish guy next door’, who would respect his philosophy of farming organically and in tandem with nature.  \u003cbr\u003eUnfortunately, Ramón died last year before he could taste the first vintage of Divine, but his image is honoured on the distinctive front label of the wine, which was painted by Barcelona-based Irish artist, Mark Redden. \u003cbr\u003eThere are only 999 bottles of this first vintage of Divine, and each bottle is individually numbered.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv id=\"short_description_content\" class=\"rte align_justify\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTasting Notes: \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eIn appearance it is light garnet, but the delicate colour belies the depth and complexity of flavours offered by these ancient Grenache vines. Aged for 1 year in French oak barrique, this is silky and deep, with a medley of red hedgerow fruit flavours. The tannins are firm but silky, balanced by a wonderful refreshing acidity.
