Country: New Zealand Region: Marlborough
Vintage:2012 Colour:White Style:Dry
Producer:Sheena Gray / Matt Thompson
Sheena Gray, wife of winemaker Matt Thomson, bought this 10 hectare site in Marlborough‰۪s Dillon‰۪s Point in 2001. Matt is convinced that the slightly cooler nights in this sub-region produce wines with more aromatic qualities than other areas. Together with Malcolm Adams, a viticulturist with more than 20 years experience, this is the second vintage released under the Delta label.
Ageing Potential:Drink Fresh
Light, pale lemon yellow in colour, the 2007 vintage has tremendous intensity on the nose, with perfumes of passion fruit and blackcurrants. On the palate, it is clean and fresh, with good balance between elegant, ripe fruit, crisp minerally acidity and a long, perfumed finish.
