Sancerre is a French wine appellation in the eastern part of the Loire Valley, southeast of Orleans. Almost all of the appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé. It is well regarded for and primarily associated with Sauvignon blanc.
The Mollet-Maudry family is one of the most ancient winegrowers in Pouilly sur Loire, with more than 10 generations of wine farmers. In 2000, the eldest son in the family, Florian, took over the estate with the firm desire to make it one of the finest Domaines in the area.
