"The Beaujolais grape harvest ended on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of September. It took place against the backdrop of a resplendent blue sky, bright sunshine and temperatures reaching 32°C. From these exceptional weather conditions were born a sublime vintage. This will certainly go down in the history of French wine, and of Beaujolais wine in particular" according to Georges Duboeuf. It's an assault of juicy, fruit flavours. Strawberries, raspberries, bananas and pear drops. Bananas? Yes, bananas! This flavour comes from carbonic maceration, the means by which the juice is fermented inside the grapes.
