O Filo da Condesa Albarino Single Bottle
Country: Spain Region: Rias Baixas
Varietal: Albariño
Vintage: 2023 Colour: White Style: Dry
Producer: Lagar da Condesa
Description:
It is not strange that Julio Cortázar wrote down his wish of returning to the Rías Baixas to plant trees. This land of Gaelic lyricism, pilgrims, ancestral stones and thermal waters shelters the countryside of old Albariño grapevines, producing our most refined white wine.
Our native grape sprouts from sandy and granitic soils made porous due to the frequent rains. The vines 'aspect to the southwest prays to the sun that ripens the clusters of grapes. With the nearby murmur of the Umia river and its waterfall, the grapes are hand-harvested just when they concentrate all their varietal character.
Tasting Note:
This is a fresh and zesty Albarino with generous floral and peach aromas. The palate is full-bodied with fresh acidity bursting with peach and citrus fruit. The wine finishes long and aromatic.
Food Matches: Perfect pairing for cooked seafood, white fish and shellfish, light pasta in salads or with marinara sauce, roasted blue fished, smoked sausages, grilled white meat, semi-cured cheeses and creams.
