Craggy Range Te Muna Pinot Noir
Martinborough, New Zealand
1 x 75cl bottle
Martinborough Pinot Noirs are different to Marlborough ones. The vineyards are cocooned with a sea breeze which cools them quicker in the evenings and so the grapes take three weeks longer on average to ripen than their Marlborough cousins. The result, is a more complex wine, with greater details and finesse, more weight, structure, body and tannin. Sublime. No surprise then that this case made it into this case. It won a best in show medal at the Decanter Asia wine show.
A Richer style of Pinot with seductive lush dark cherry fruits, hints of spice and very good length. This has real depth. John Wilson, The Irish Times.
