Castillo de Eneriz Reserva
Navarra, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
Vic Manzanos has a nose for wine, and given his Rioja estate already straddles the border of Rioja and Navarra, he thought adding a very good Navarra estate would be exciting. 18 months in barrel and a full 6 years in bottle make this a real cracker! Rioja without the name and price tag, made by a master of Rioja! This wine balances oaky character with fruitiness and hints of spice with a finish as lengthy as you would expect from a classic reserva.
Cami del Drac Carignan Noir
Bordeaux, France
2 x 75cl Bottles
Red Cherry and gentle spice here. Warming fruits, with a lovely mid palate and a dinish that is both fresh, crisp and perfect for barbeque! You can even chill this one on a hot summers day!
Agricola Portera Bobal
Valencia, Spain
2 x 75cl Bottles
Bobal is known in both Spain and Argentina, yet few have heard of it. When you get hold of this, you'll likely love it, as most of our customers do! Made by best friends Javier, Jorge. The floods in Spain in October 2024 wiped out over 70% of their production, as some of their tanks crashed over and spilled wine filled the mountainside where their winery was. We have long loved their wines and are more dedicated than ever to supporting them as they rebuild and recover.
Alegra Verdejo
Rueda, Spain
2 x 75cl
Verdejo is native to Spain and in my opinion some of the best wine in ce country is their verdejo from Rueda. This Verdejo from the Rueda displays fresh, ripe yellow fruit flavours with a hint of limes and fresh stone. Made by two sisters dedicated to finding the best plots across all of Spain, they settled on producing their whites from Rueda and they make great Sauvignon and Verdejo wines. there are some leafy herbal notes which makes for a zippy, fresh and deeply enjoyable wine. Delicious with brightly-flavoured seafood dishes, Thai salads, citrus dressings or indeed by the glass on its own!
Campo Flores Blanco
Organic, La Mancha, Spain
A white wine that goes under the radar but is repeatedly ordered again and again. This is made by Fergal Tynan from ireland, working in Spain with some of the best plots he can find. During a recent tasting of 45 Spanish Wines, with WineOnline.ie customers in Spain, on a WineOnline.ie wine trip, this was the cheapest wine tasted and cam out n the top 5 wines!
Domaine de Vedilhan Sauvignon Blanc
Languedoc, France
2 x 75cl Bottles
A crisp fresh and clean French Sauvignon Blanc. The first thing you'll notice here is how well balanced it is. The acidity is well integrated amongst fresh and clean fruit. It is every bit as good as Touraine and it has a linear cleanliness that streaks through the wine. Clean and fresh with great length.
