Mont Rocher Malbec Limoux, France France is the home of the malbec grape and this doesn’t disappoint. In the Valee d’Aude where this comes from, the mornings are sunny owing to the south facing aspect and the sun continues all day long. There is a long growing season and the heat gets trapped in the valley, allowing the grapes to ripen fully. Juicy and delicious this is a wine for roast meats and pasta dishes.
Cami del Drac Carignan Noir South France This might just be one of the most delicious wines we have in stock since the start of 2024. The Carignan Noir grape is not widely seen across the South of France, but it certainly is one of the most delicious. What makes this wine so great is that it has the elegance and softness of pinot noir, but the structure and backbone of Barolo. It is juicy, mouthfilling and vibrant – A great wine to chill as it gets warmer, it is great with or without food and it speaks for itself. It has no oak ageing, spending a few months in amphora tanks as opposed to oak barrels, which does wonders for its freshness.
Mont Rocher Viognier South France On the nose this has peaches, violets and orange blossom. On the palate it is fresh and crisp. Pair this with roast pork or roast chicken. It is different and that is what makes this so great. It’s not for Sauvignon Blanc drinkers but for the adventurous who love something different!
Contessa Camilla Pinot Grigio Abruzzo, Italy Pinot Grigio can be boring and dull if it is made generically. This is the opposite of dull and generic. It has lovely pear drop notes and is fresh, crisp and clean. A really enjoyable wine bursting with citrus fruits, pears and stone fruits. One for an icy cold glass of wine after a long week!
